As a professional photographer and video producer living in Northwest Indiana just outside of Chicago, I find myself drawn to taking aerial photography, commercial photography, landscape photography, weather photography, wedding photography, and urban exploration photos in and around the region and across the United State. I am also a collegiate licensed photographer of Indiana University campus photography. As a photographer in Northwest Indiana, I am surrounded by many different landscapes, including open prairies, farmland, forests and sand dunes mixed in with a commercial and industrial landscape of houses, businesses and factories. I love to travel the country and have been all over the United States enjoying and exploring different cities both big and small and enjoy seeing the world from the road.
My photos and videos have been featured on several television broadcasts and other media outlets, including:

My interest in photography actually began with my interest in video production. I graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications and concentrated in Video Design and Production. I had always loved making videos and had fantasized about one day going to Hollywood to make movies or write and produce television shows. In 2003 during my final semester in college, I had a very small part working as a Production Assistant with the Indiana University Department of Telecommunications and their student documentary team, lead by Professor Ron Osgood, which produced a video for John Mellencamp called Trouble No More: The Making of a John Mellencamp Album. The production team spent over a month filming at Mellencamp’s recording studio and later produced the hour long video which went on to win a Cleveland Regional Emmy Award for Best Entertainment Music Special. My role was small, but it was a lot of fun to be a part of. The DVD later won a Regional Emmy Award and can be purchased on Amazon.com. I am credited at the end as a Production Assistant.
Shortly after graduation, I bought my first DSLR camera and it all began from there. Over a decade later, I am traveling the country with cameras in tow. My love of photography and traveling has taken me to nearly every state in the United States and numerous cities, landmarks, national parks and other notable locations. In addition to traveling, I also continue to photograph weddings in Northwest Indiana, although due to my busy schedule, I now only book a couple of them a year. My primary focus is on commercial photography and scenic landscape photography as well as commercial licensing. As a photographer in NW Indiana, I can capture both the big city life of nearby Chicago as well as suburban Northwest Indiana life outside of the city. Currently, I’m working to create market photos for every city in Northwest Indiana, creating a library of photos for people and businesses to purchase prints or commercial licenses to use the photos for their own marketing materials.
Living near Chicago, I can’t help but to love the photo opportunities in an urban setting. Beyond Chicago, I have driven through forty-three states from the far reaches of the northeast at Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine south to the tropical Florida Keys and west to San Francisco and beyond . I enjoy seeing the United States while on the road, sampling the local food culture as I pass through and meeting locals along the way!
Contact me if you are interested in aerial photography or commercial photography. Most of the photos on my website are also available for commercial licensing.
