On Wednesday, October 29, 2014, I met with Hammond Mayor Tom McDermott, Jr at City Hall in Hammond to donate commercial licenses for thirty photos of Hammond. The photos of Hammond can be used by the mayor and by the City of Hammond in its future marketing materials including brochures, the website, and any other form of marketing. The Mayor and I plan to work towards updating many of the photos that are currently in the public buildings around Hammond and using these updated photos, many of which include the downtown area and other newly revitalized areas in the city, to promote the city in a positive light making it attractive to potential outside visitors.
Downtown Crown Point, Indiana at the Old Lake County Court House after a winter snow. The downtown Crown Point square is a major attraction for locals due to it’s numerous shops and restaurants on or near the square, plus its convenient location in central Lake County.

One of the best places to take winter photos in Northwest Indiana is along the Lake Michigan shoreline. Every winter is different, but most winters the lake develops large ice shelves that form into talk mounds and shapes and other surreal looking landscapes. The ice shelves surround the beach and develop sometimes miles out into the lake. In this photo, the ice shelves surround the east pier lighthouse in Michigan City where ice has already overtaken the catwalk and the walkway beneath.
Downtown Indianapolis, Indiana as seen from the west side looking east over the canal. The downtown Indianapolis area has been revived and reformed over the past decade with new development lining the downtown streets and the canal district. Downtown Indianapolis is becoming a hotbed of activity with it’s quaint downtown that is easy to navigate and the recent positive attention from the 2012 Super Bowl which was held at Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis.
